Keyword stuffing in the domain name

For some time I have been paying attention to domains built only by keywords and have been researching how they actually do, wondering if this old trick still works.

Keyword stuffing in the domain name is used by website owners trying to rank higher in search engines and mislead potential users. Generally, these types of domains are secondary but not main websites for some companies or there is even no company behind them.

Does this trick attract more customers?

In our opinion, the answer is yes and we will try to show you why we believe that.

Here is an example of an SEO business that has multiple phony domains for different locations using Google Ads. If they do that, obviously there is some profit.

Probably, you will ask, how do you know it’s the same company? – You don’t need to do a lot of research, just pay attention to the phone numbers in both ads.

Should we trust them as an SEO Company? – This is another question and probably a future category in our blog.

The Sloppiest SEO Candidate

Finally, we are presenting you the candidate #1 who shows us some bad practices that still give positive ranking results…

The site we have in mind is named SeoServicesGalway.com.

It is obvious from the image above that the site is under construction and I couldn’t believe I was looking at their WIP experiments. That made me check the age of their domain.

It is amazing that they are in SEO business for so long and allow themselves to work this way.

So, the next step was to check the historical changes.

And it turned out that it has been in WIP mode for several years, at least since August 2018.

At this point, it is more than clear that they have no chance of winning our monthly competition …as there is actually no working SEO Services.

On the other hand, I was curious to see how they index…

Also, I checked the position of some keywords using a free tool.

On the other hand, there is a reason free tools are free…

Excluding the Ads, the business results and the related questions, they were ranked at position #9 for my “seo services galway” query.

This is just a small example, but it makes me think of all the SEO recommendations and the real situation.
