December 2020 Sloppiest SEO Candidate # 2

Our second candidate for the December 2020 Monthly Sloppy SEO Competition is really interesting. It is a Spanish company dedicated to the creation of brands with a very modern and trendy website. Let’s see how SEO friendly they are, as the SEO Service is one of the main things they offer.

The second candidate we have in mind is named:

Wired & Linked

They say “We are a digital agency specialized in creating brands that tell stories that connect with people, but above all, that sell.”

UX

The website is modern and it is more focused on the design trends rather than on converting users into clients. It looks like an additional channel in the Buyers journey but not the main selling (Lead Generation) point. For example, the trendy follow cursor animation is nice but it slows down the user interaction and adds additional difficulties to distinguish the links and important CTAs.

The UX for desktop is probably a bit too modern…

Proyectos(Projects) is a very important page but when I arrived there, honestly, I did not know what I see and what to do…

Firstly, I was waiting 15 seconds watching the pulsing animation until I see 20 words…

wiredandlinked - Projects • December 2020 Sloppiest SEO Candidate # 2

It turned out that when you hover some of the Brands you will see the rest of the content…

I have the feeling that there must be better solutions rather than loading all the hidden content in the very beginning…

Here you can see an example of content overlapping.

The Services Page must be very important page but here you can see that the free above the fold space hasn’t been taken advantage of. There aren’t any visible CTAs and you should scroll to see them.

Not to mention that they don’t attract much attention either.

The main thing we want to point out with this candidate is that a modern design does not necessarily mean good SEO and a friendly user experience.
